Breast Augmentation Explained By A NYC Plastic Surgeon
Breast
augmentation can be performed through a wide variety of entry sites. Small
incisions can be made in the armpit, under the breast, around the areola (the
colored area surrounding the nipple) or through the bellybutton. The implants,
which are all filled with salt-water (saline solution), can then be placed
directly under the breast or under the chest muscles. Finally, the implants
themselves can be smooth, 'textured', or 'anatomic'. Which combination of entry
points, placement areas and implant types is right for you depends on your
individual body type. By themselves, no one method is significantly better than
another. However, one combination will probably be more applicable for you.
During your plastic surgery consultation, the benefits of each will be presented so you can
make an informed decision - Board Certified NYC Plastic Surgeon - Dr Kenneth Rose
